Taylor Swift se convierte en la «artista de la década» en los AMAs y rompe récord
Los Ángeles fue sede de la entrega de los galardones American Music Awards 2019 (AMAs) realizado ayer domingo 24 de noviembre.
La artista de 29 años, Taylor Swift ganó el galardón en 6 categorías en una histórica ceremonia. Además de recibir el premio en «Artista del año», «Vídeo Musical Favorito», «Cantante Pop Favorita», «Artista Favorito Adulto-contemporáneo» y «Album Pop Favorito», la cantante estadounidense fue nombrada «artista de la década» 2010-2020, batiendo el récord de Michael Jackson como la persona más premiada de la historia de los AMAs, al sumar un total de 29 galardones a lo largo de su carrera, por encima de los 24 que obtuvo el ‘Rey del Pop’.
Taylor comparte este galardón con grandes expresiones de la música como Elvis Presley (1950), The Beatles (1960), Stevie Wonder (1970) y Michael Jackson (1980), quien fue consagrado como el «Artista del Siglo XX» durante los AMAs del año 2002.
En un año complicado para la artista, expresó en la premiación que «esta industria es muy rara, vas arriba y luego abajo, a veces te sientes mal contigo mismo, pero hay gente que te apoya siempre. Gracias a los ‘fans’ que han estado 15 años conmigo».
